I spent the day touring the Biltmore Estate, a beautiful home constructed by George Vanderbilt in 1895. The grounds were stunning and each room was intricately decorated with rococo furniture. FYI…rococo means elaborate ornamentations and I have wanted to use it in a sentence since I learned it in 6th grade English. They told us a story about Mr. Vanderbilt’s daughter, Cornelia. Apparently the night before her wedding she had a huge sleepover on the main floor of her family’s home. It got me thinking, what a beautiful wedding that must have been. You can still get married at Biltmore today, but it will cost you an arm and a leg. However, if you don’t mind hopping down the aisle, I can’t think of a more beautiful venue. You aren’t allowed to take pictures inside the home, but I did snap a few pictures of the outside and some flowers in the garden. I have posted some of my favorites below.
and just for fun a selfie of me and my mom
Lovely, indeed. I can’t even imagine the wedding they must have had.

I agree! Can you imagine if all the flowers had been in bloom as well?
